I remember reading, and being really moved some time ago by the Gorky novel
'The Life of Matvei Kozhemyakin'. After finding it randomly at an antique book
store, reading it was in fact the catalyst that steered me towards my
preference and love of Russian literature and poetry. Since then I have read
much of the Russian greats, but I really feel like returning now to Gorky.
Gorky authored quite a few novels, so I would really appreciate if someone
familiar with his body of work could recommend me some titles, and perhaps add
why these appealed to you. Thanks, Dan
